Mother-in-Law’s Birthday Mitts

This is one of the Jane Richmond patterns I tweeted about earlier in the week.  Click here for the Ravelry link.  The pattern is lovely and simple and they knit up super quick as you are using chunky yarn.  I used Rowan Cocoon as I had some in my stash (hurrah for stashbusting!)  What I rather like about them, aside from the fact that they knit up in just a few hours, is that you can turn back the cuff and button it to give a different look (shorter mitts).

They are for my mother-in-law, Sheila, as it is her birthday tomorrow.  She will also be getting a handmade necklace or bracelet if I can get my act together tomorrow morning.  I know, I know, just call me ‘daughter-in-law of the year’….!
